In May, Hussein El Ghazaly (Year 12)was awarded an Honorable Mention in the American Society of Human Genetics 9th Annual DNA Day Contest.
He won $100 prize and a certificate and competed against 750 other entrants from all over the world. His essay was on the genetic influences on Cardiovascular diseases.
