G1 Trip to Grotto Garden
On their first trip this year, G1 students went to the Aquarium Grotto with WESC. Our students had the opportunity to explore nature by examining the different parts of plants & the different types of leaves. Students were also exposed to different kinds of butterflies that come from all around the world. They found out more about what they eat, their natural habitat and their life cycle. Students worked in stations & had different activities such as sorting out butterflies & identifying what families they come from, using hoops as a Venn Diagram to classify different stems and leaves & using paper plates to compare their own body parts to the parts of a plant. Not only did our students have a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful scenery in the Aquarium Grotto, but they also had an enriching learning experience. What a great trip!
