Y6 Industry Day

Last Thursday was Industry Day for Year 6 students.

Year 6A came up with the ingenious idea of having a Photo Booth. Ahmed Zaghw made a life size frame for the children to stand behind and the class brought in a selection of props and accessories ranging from feather boas to cowboy hats, truncheons and wigs. A backdrop was cleverly clipped onto the stairs and voila … they had their very own photo booth! Miss Kim took on the role of chief photographer, whilst the students helped out with props, held up the frame and sold tickets. The stall has been so popular that it is going to run again on Sunday to ensure that every child has the chance to star in his/her own shot.

Year 6E decided to opt for a Healthy Eating theme and their stall was an absolute sell-out! Tables laden with delicious looking fruit kebabs, drizzled with chocolate sauce, home-made jelly and a range of tasty fruit smoothies certainly pulled in the crowds! The children were responsible for everything and they worked non-stop. Judging from the heaving mass of students clamoring for one of these healthy snacks, El Alsson pupils definitely know a good thing when they see it. Finally, the class took full responsibility for cleaning up the sticky remains; armed with mops and brushes they showed a responsible attitude towards every aspect of Industry Day.
