Dear Parents, Guardians,

The Zaywa cinema just released the film Dheepan, the Palme d’Or winner at this past Cannes festival. Set in France and predominantly in French, the film relates directly to the KS 4-5 French courses (immigration) and references Montesquieu’s Lettres Persanes. Therefore it will be of special interest to our students. The screening should be followed by a post-screening debate with a cinema and education expert. As for y9 and y10 students, this trip is both an incentive and a reward for our high achievers future specialists. Afterwards, students will be expected to write an extended cinema review. This field trip is also a way for our student to get an immersion in French culture since they do not always have this chance at home.

The visit will take place on Monday March 7^th at 9.30 am

The bus will leave school at 8.00 am and be back at school at 1.30 pm for the two last lessons.

Each student will need to pay 60Le (ticket + bus). They will need to bring money also for lunch as we will grab some food before going back to school.
