In 2013-14 the school is switching to the US$ as the base currency. The fees are declared in U$ but parents will pay in Egyptian Pounds at the bank exchange rate. The rate will be fixed for each instalment so if for example, for the August /September instalment the rate on the first day is U$1: LE7.03, then that becomes the rate for that instalment period. The same thing happens for the next instalment; the first day’s bank rate will be used for that instalment and so on.
Schools declare their fees usually some six months before a new academic year begins and unlike other businesses that change their prices as the market changes, we do not have that flexibility. The market expects schools to declare their fees and keep to them. The only way we can continue to cope in this volatile market is to follow the policy of most International schools in Cairo and base our fees on the dollar.
At the moment the distribution of the instalments is weighed towards the August/September instalment. Next year in 2014, the April instalment will be higher (currently U$715 / LE 10,500) and the August/September instalment lower to make a better balance.

Parents are not required to pay in dollars * and all payments by cash, direct to bank, credit card or on-line should be in Egyptian Pounds.
Please note that School Fees can be paid either in person at the school, on-line via credit card as well as through HSBC or CIB Banks via an electronic form. Please email the Accounts Department (email@example.com ) with your child's details (name, class) requesting whether to pay online, HSBC or CIB. (Please note: payments on-line through the provider, the Arab African Bank incur a 2% additional charge, and credit card payments over the counter at school incur a 1.75% additional charge.)
*Please note that once the fee installments of the academic year have begun, we regret we are unable to refund any fees back if you decide to withdraw your child.
