Learning Support Teacher- British School 2024/2025
We are looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic Learning Support Teacher to join our British School Team from 1 September 2024. This role will be responsible for identification of, and intervention with groups of students in the Secondary School who need additional support in order that they are able to make good progress, enjoy and achieve. The successful candidate will work within the SEND and Inclusion Team which includes Learning Support Teachers, and our School Counsellor. The team has been developing over the past 18-months and is seeking to build in both strength and capacity as we move into 2024-2025.

You will need:
- A recognised Teaching qualification that meets the requirements of your home-country (e.g. B.Ed, PGCE, GDE etc)

Skills and Knowledge
- Experience of Learning Support teaching in Secondary phase (Years 7-13).
- Knowledge and experience of working with psychometric, cognitive and academic testing with Secondary students would be an advantage
- Developing strategies to enable students to make gains in their reading and writing
- The ability, experience and qualifications to conduct and advise on Access Arrangements for external examinations (e.g. compliance with JCQ regulations) would be an advantage
- Experience teaching another subject is preferred
- Experience in differentiating resources, and supporting colleagues to adapt pedagogy is preferred
