Nahla Samaha
School Section: Early Years. Yr1 – Yr2

Profile:

I’m a mom of twin girls and I work from home as a Copy Writer/Content Writer/Copy Editor. This affords me time to be present for my kids and be involved with the school. I am passionate about working with the school to make our kids’ experience as fulfilling as possible in every way. I am running for EARLY YEARS CO-REPS along with Nadine Kenawy, please read below about our experience in the PSA last year as Early Years Co-Reps.

What I think the PSA should do and what I can bring to the PSA:

I am running along with Nadine Kenawy again for PSA Early Years Co-Reps.After a successful first year in the PSA as Early Years Co-Reps last year, we will draw on our experience once again coupled with our shared insight into the Early Years (with 4 kids in Early Years between us) to represent all student and parent interests in the PSA.

Last year we raised some critical issues in the PSA such as fee increase, new campus, bus reform, to name but a few. We have also been campaigning for a healthy-eating school policy and as a result items such as “pop” and “chicken nuggets” have been removed from the Early Years party menus.

We have also actively participated in problem solving with other PSA reps regarding issues related to Middle School and High School and we have developed a great rapport and relationship with the school’s admin.

Nadine and I work seamlessly together, we understand one another, and the continuous open dialogue between us allows us to add on each other’s ideas and solutions. We would love nothing more than to continue representing the Early Years parents, bringing your ideas and concerns to the school and working together to create a more symbiotic relationship with El Alsson.
